ARKAY- Lava rock collection
A series of hand-carved lava rock images designed for use in outdoor sculpture garden settings. Some are free-standing images and others are functional images to contain garden plantings.
In keeping with the medium, the images are crude or whimsical.
In the garden, the lava rock takes on a beautiful patina of moss and age.

I carve these unusual garden/outdoor sculptures simply because it is fun....... a departure from the more tedious work of polishing and finishing fine artworks. I have carved tree trunk hanging planters, garden planters, free-standing large images ....
